MEET THE THERAPIST
Hello, I am Najla (Nay-jala)! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of West Georgia in 2002 and my Master’s Degree from LaSalle University in 2005. I have worked in mental health for 20 years with children; families; adolescents; and adults. My specialties include play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-focused CBT. My skills and training include working with families and individuals experiencing personal, relationship, and/or emotional struggles. Also, survivors of trauma, Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD), Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, and ODD.
Starting from our first session, my goal is to create an environment built on trust, communication, and collaboration. Next is to foster the rapport and trust we have built together and work through the process of developing strong coping skills to navigate toward progress.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I provide brief and ongoing therapy services to individuals, families, teens, and children. I offer a safe, supportive setting with honest and non-judgmental feedback to help address current and past challenges. I combine complementary methods to provide the best service for each individual.
